Since 08.10.2014, the Alarmphone has been available around the clock. The emergency number is run by volunteers, but costs are constantly being incurred. Telephone calls are often the only connection people in distress still have with the world. Thanks to your donation, we are able to continue to operate the Alarmphone as part of the international network, to charge the satellite phones of boat people in distress and to produce information material on safety at sea.
